This gorgeous orange cake is the perfect treat for your next morning or afternoon tea event. Serve it up with a cuppa or a glass of refreshing kombucha.

Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 cup Gluten-Free Baking Banana Flour Natural Evolution
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup nut milk can be rice, almond, coconut, etc
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp orange rind
- 2 eggs or replacement
- 125 g softened butter or replacement
- ¾ cup coconut sugar or 1/4 cup of honey
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly for three minutes.
- Pour mixture into a prepared tin, approx. 20cm x 10cm loaf.
- Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 30 – 40 minutes.
- Allow to cool in the tin before turning onto wire rack.
- Serve as desired. Enjoy!

Hi, just wondering how the icing is made in the photo for this recipe?

The icing in the photo is a standard butter icing and doesn’t use healthy wholefoods.

You can use orange juice instead of lemon if you’d prefer.
