Boosted Diversity Flour Formula

We know that the #1 predictor for great gut health is diversity in the food we eat. Specifically, the number of different plant foods we eat on the regular.

It’s actually really easy to get lots of diversity in, even for fussy kids.

Here’s 1 way:

Replace your every-day flour with a flour you make by simply mixing up a few different flours together!

This flour formula gives you the ability to create nutrient-dense, nutrient-diverse flour for any everyday use.

Think pancakes, cakes, muffins, slices, banana bread… the sky’s the limit!

Simply replace regular white wheat flour with your new glorious diverse flour, in most recipes.

Important: This recipe is designed to be made once and used 10 times or more. Make a big pre-mix and store it in a big glass jar, or containers in the freezer or fridge.

This recipe will fit in a 2L glass jar or container.

I’ve included an example of a recipe in this post here. This post is a formula, so you can use your creativity (or just whatever’s in your pantry!).

A gluten-free version is coming.

NOTES:

  • If using nutmeals, consider storing premix in the freezer / fridge to protect the oils released during milling.
  • I don’t recommend sunflower seed or pepita meal because both will turn the recipe green. If your kids won’t turn their nose up at that, by all means – add them in!
