Pep Me Up Chocolate Smoothie

Try this smoothie recipe for a great afternoon pick-me-up!

Pep Me Up Chocolate Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 handful creamy nuts I usually use cashews
  • small avocado
  • 1 tsp cacao powder raw
  • 1-2 drops peppermint essential oil
  • ½ cup water
  • Ice
  • Cacao nibs & buckinis or goji berries to serve (optional)

Instructions

  • Throw it all in a blender and blend until creamy then top with cacao nibs and buckinis or goji berries.
  • To make buckinis, soak raw buckwheat for at least 12 hours, drain and lay on a lined baking tray.
  • Cook for about 3 hours, or until crunchy, at 100°C.
