Angela: It’s Friday night and your looking for a pizza fix. We have the answer… keeping it paleo, primal and gluten-free is this recipe from 180 Nutrition!

Gluten-Free Cauliflower Paleo Pizza Base

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Baking Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 1 pizza

Ingredients

Pizza Base

Topping (Suggestion)

  • Shredded chicken
  • 1-2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • Goats cheese
  • Spinach
  • Fresh herbs – basil oregano etc

Instructions

  • Whiz up the cauliflower in a food processor.
  • (Alternative step) Place in a microwave proof bowl and zap in the microwave for about a minute.
  • Mix through one whisked egg and rest of the pizza ingredients.
  • Line a baking tray and shape the base on the tray with the back of a spoon. Place in a preheated oven at 200 degrees and bake for ten minutes or until crispy
  • Pull out and add your toppings
  • Bake until desired crispiness!

    Why does the dough need to be zapped in a microwave? And what is an alternative step? I haven’t had a microwave in nearly 15 years… I have an oven, an air fryer and a sandwich press…

      Oh gosh, thanks for the pick up! I hadn’t seen that there before. I’ll ask the team to fix that up. You can totally just gently fry the cauliflower with a splash of water, in a pan. That’ll do the trick nicely.
