Popcorn is the easiest thing to make in the world! And if we’re avoiding all the crap in the microwave bagged popcorn, then we’ve gotta be happy with that!

There are lots of flavour variations, but our kid’s fave is basic salted butter popcorn. It tastes just like the movies.





  • 1. Cover base of saucepan with oil
  • 2. Cover base of saucepan with popping corn
  • 3. Pop the lid on and with medium heat, wait until all the fun popping noises are over!
  • 4. Turn the heat off and transfer to a big bowl
  • 5. Pop some butter in the still warm pan and wait for it to melt before pouring it over the popcorn. The amount is simply to taste, but we use a fair bit!
  • 6. Sprinkle with salt to taste, get your hands in there to turn it around to coat and voila, you're ready!
