Quinoa Choc Peanut Butter Balls

So quick and easy, so delicious for the entire family. These balls are loaded with minerals, are a good source of good fats (9g per 2 small balls), protein (4g per 2 small balls) and fibre (3g per 2 small balls) for a snack on the go that satiates and satisfies the taste buds. With less than 2g sugars per ball, and fibre fats and protein to support blood sugar, they’re a sweet snack that won’t leave you soaring and crashing.

Quinoa Choc Peanut Butter Balls

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • cup desiccated coconut
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • 2 pinch good quality salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon Sri Lankan / true verum
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder or whatever vanilla you have
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup optional, or sweetener of choice
  • cup dark choc chips optional
  • Extra dark choc chips for topping optional


  • Drag the leftover cooked quinoa from dinner out of the fridge and combine with all other ingredients by mixing in a bowl.
  • Roll into small-medium balls (wet hands makes the process less sticky)
  • Optional: With the extra dark choc chips, melt them by boiling a small amount of water in a small saucepan and popping the bowl of choc chips on top. Stir periodically until melted then use a spoon to drizzle or plop onto each ball.
  • Set in the fridge


Feel free to change the seed choice, though the hemp seeds really disappear into the quinoa and you can't tell they're there, so it's a great choice for fussy ones.
